Go Within to Discover 'You'

The Appeal of Meditation

Ever wonder why meditation has captivated millions of people around the world? Meditation's broad appeal lies in its ability to provide a more fulfilling and mindful approach to life. People gravitate toward meditation because it offers a unique opportunity to cultivate a deeper connection with yourself and the world around you.

Meditation also allows you to develop a greater sense of presence and mindfulness. This presence helps you appreciate the beauty and richness of each passing moment, leading to a deeper sense of gratitude and joy. Moreover, meditation can help you navigate the challenges of life with greater resilience and calmness.

Ultimately, meditation is a journey of self-discovery and self-care. It allows you to nurture your mental and emotional well-being, cultivate a compassionate relationship with yourself, and create a foundation for leading a more balanced and fulfilling life. Regardless of where you are on your journey, meditation has the potential to profoundly transform your experience of yourself and the world.

My Meditation Experience

I've maintained a daily commitment to my meditation practice since 2016 and completed a 200-hour Instinctive Meditation Teacher Training through the Radiance Sutras® School of Meditation in 2022. I counsel meditation newbies and advanced practitioners on how to deepen their meditative practice leading to profound shifts in their inner and outer experience.

Instinctive Meditation is a revolutionary form of meditation that emphasizes following your natural instincts and welcoming everything into your meditative experience, including thoughts. Say goodbye to the notion of "trying" to meditate and instead learn to surrender control to allow yourself to naturally transition into it. True progress in meditation is not achieved through effort, but through the power of allowance and acceptance. Let go of striving and embrace the effortless path to inner peace and self-discovery.

Barriers to Meditation

So why aren't more people doing it?

Well, based on my experience and skillful research, there are 3 main
reasons why people either don't meditate or quit meditating.

Let's discuss.

I Don't Have Time

While this can feel true, it's also true that most people manage to make time for what's important. Which leads to the true underlying barrier preventing many people from incorporating meditation into their lives…they simply don't see the value of prioritizing it.

Without a clear understanding of what you can expect to get out of meditation, it can be difficult to carve out time to incorporate this often misunderstood practice into an already busy schedule.

1

I Can't Meditate

I can't meditate, I don't know how, it's too hard, or I'm not good at it all infer the same dilemma – a lack of proper training. Instinctive Meditation isn't difficult and absolutely anyone can do it.

If you resonate with any of these sentiments, it may be time to enlist a trained meditation teacher to introduce you to a meditation approach that works for you.

2

It Didn't Work

In my opinion, one of the most unfortunate impressions to have of meditation is that it doesn't work. When confronted with this assertion, my next question usually uncovers the disparity that leads many to this conclusion and that question is: In what time frame did you expect results?

In order to experience the long-term benefits of meditation, you must be willing to consistently commit to the practice for a prolonged period of time.
